BUILT-IN REDUNDANCIES

On rare occasions, inconsistencies in compass or IMU data can affect the way an aircraft behaves. The Phantom 4 features dual compass modules and dual Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) that allow it to constantly compare the data it is receiving through both pairs. This data is run through advanced algorithms to check accuracy and any inaccurate data is simply discarded without affecting flight.

BEGINNER MODE

The Phantom 4’s beginner mode limits Beginner flyers to 100ft (30m) up and away. It also prevents camera tilt controls to allow beginner pilots to familiarize themselves with flying before adding more distance and camera control. When beginner mode is switched off, the Phantom 4 will default to a maximum flight altitude of 390ft (120m) above the takeoff point. This can be adjusted to a maximum of 1640ft (500m). You can also set your own maximum distance.

CUSTOMIZABLE REMOTE CONTROLLER

The new prop mounts of the Phantom 4 allow each prop to be mounted more quickly and securely than before, requiring a simple push and twist to attach or release instead of screwing down each prop. The DJI Inspire 1 uses two separate controllers — one for the drone
itself, and another for someone else to use to control the camera.
Ultimate control. It uses a 4K camera to record 4K video at 24-30fps. It
also records 1080p at 60fps. The camera is 12MP.

Chinese drone maker Ehang Inc. on Wednesday unveiled what it calls the world's first drone capable of carrying a human passenger.

The Guangzhou, China-based company pulled the cloth off the Ehang 184 at the Las Vegas Convention Center during the CES gadget show. In a company video showing it flying, it looks like a small helicopter but with four doubled propellers spinning parallel to the ground like other drones.

The electric-powered drone can be fully charged in two hours, carry up to 220 pounds and fly for 23 minutes at sea level, according to Ehang. The cabin fits one person and a small backpack and even has air conditioning and a reading light. With propellers folded up, it's designed to fit in a single parking spot.

After setting a flight plan, passengers only need to give two commands, "take off" and "land," each controlled by a single click on a Microsoft Surface tablet, the company said.

It is designed to fly about 1,000 to 1,650 feet off the ground with a maximum altitude of 11,500 feet and top speed of 63 miles per hour.

U.S. authorities are just starting to lay out guidelines for drone use, and a human-passenger drone seems certain to face strict scrutiny.

Ehang co-founder and Chief Financial Officer Shang Hsiao said the company hopes to sell the device for $200,000 to $300,000 beginning this year but acknowledged it occupies a legal "grey area."

"The whole world never had something like this before," he said.
A passenger would have no controls as a backup, he said. In the event of a problem the company plans a remote control center that would take over the vehicle and ensure it lands safely, he said.

Chief Marketing Officer Derrick Xiong said the vehicle has been flown more than 100 times at low altitudes in a forested area in Guangzhou, including several times with a person inside.

One thing that makes quad-copters safer than helicopters are its numerous propellers, Xiong said. Even if three of the four arms have their six propellers disabled, the final arm's working propellers can ensure a rough landing by spiraling toward the ground, he said.

The company, which also makes smaller drones, said in August it had raised $42 million in capital from various investors including GP Capital, GGV Capital, ZhenFund and others,
following $10 million in capital raised the previous year.

Betnava Mansion (German Schloss Windenau) is a mansion near Maribor in Styria. Baroque mansion Betnava has been declared as a cultural monument of national importance.

In 1319 document mentions mansion named Wintenaw (Betnava). In the 16th century it grew into a fortified Renaissance mansion with a water ditch. Counts Herberstein transformed into a Protestant station with a chapel and a cemetery. In the 18th century manor house, which was burned down in 1685, the baroque transformed. Rebuilt the main building with a staircase and representative spaces on the north side chapel was added to it, the other three wings were left untouched. Ceremonial hall was painted in 1784 with a baroque illusionist architecture, supplemented by allegorical scenes. The mansion has changed many owners, which were only noble family, among them: Herbersteins, Khiessl, Auersperg, Ursini-Rosenberg, Szekely, Brandis and Dürr. Betnava in 1863 became the summer residence of the Maribor-Lavantine bishops, although the diocese took in hiring decades before.

Opposite the façade is decorated park, which was designed in the 19th century in the spirit of English landscape style. The mansion is adorned with an extremely consistent architecture that is inspired by the then Vienna late-baroque fashion Florentine style, which won in 1784. The mansion Betnava mansion is now owned by the Church. It houses the Archdiocese Museum Maribor.
Dvorec Betnava (nemško Schloss Windenau) je dvorec v bližini Maribora na Štajerskem. Baročni dvorec Betnava je bil razglašen kot kulturni spomenik državnega pomena.

Leta 1319 listina omenja dvorec z imenom Wintenaw (Betnava). V 16. stoletju je ta prerasla v utrjeno renesančno graščino z vodnim jarkom. Grofje Herberstein so jo spremenili v protestantsko postajo z kapelo in pokopališčem. V 18. stoletju so dvorec, ki je bil leta 1685 pogorel, baročno preoblikovali. Prezidali so osrednje poslopje s stopniščem in reprezentativnimi prostori, na severni strani so mu dodali kapelo, ostala tri krila pa so pustili nedotaknjena. Dvorec je menjal veliko lastnikov, kar so bile le plemiške rodbine, med njimi: Herbersteini, Khiessl, Auersperg, Ursini-Rosenberg, Szekely, Brandis in Dürr. Betnava je leta 1863 postala poletna rezidenca mariborsko-lavantinskih škofov, čeprav jo je škofija jemala v najem že desetletja prej.

Nasproti pročelja je urejen park, ki je bil v 19. stoletju zasnovan v duhu angleškega krajinskega sloga. Dvorec krasi izredno skladna arhitektura, ki se je zgledovala po tedaj na Dunaju modnem poznobaročnem florentinskem slogu, katero je dvorec dobil leta 1784. Dvorec Betnava je sedaj v cerkveni lasti. V njem domuje Muzej Nadškofije Maribor.

This space has very much been dominated by DJI with their Phantom 2 series and now the Phantom 3 Professional with its 4K Camera. The Yuneec Typhoon Q500 4K Drone has a few missing features and a lower speed but has some great extras such as the ability to dock the camera on SteadyGrip Hand Controller, the ability to record in 120fps for Slow Motion and the Follow Me feature . Oh and lets not forget the integrated screen so no need to house you smart phone or tablet to fly. We have read many reviews from owners that have migrated from DJI so we think this new drone a great investment.

Yuneec Typhoon Q500 4K Quadcopter is the latest drone to be announced from Yuneec International. This new model ships with a brand new CGO3 4K camera that shoots the latest UHD video and 12 megapixel still images.
What makes the Typhoon Q500 Quadcopters unique is that they are supplied with Yuneec’s Steady Grip handheld camera mount, so users can detach the camera from the drone and get impressive close-up footage and stills.
The new Yunnec 4K drone also includes the latest firmware update to the Q500 series which includes the ultimate “selfie tools” – enhanced ‘follow me’ and ‘watch me’ modes which keep the drone’s camera locked on to a single subject as the quadcopter moves through the air.

All-in-One Controller

The Typhoon Q500’s ST10+ Personal Ground Station is an all-in transmitter and receiver that gives you full control over the quadcopter during flight. It allows users to capture photos and video as well as featuring a 5.5-inch touch screen that displays in-flight telemetry data. When revisiting you device you do not need to re-install portable devices and your system retains setting so is always ready to go.

3-axis Gimbal Camera – CGO3 4K

With ultra-high definition (UHD) resolution that is 4x higher than HD of the Yuneec Typhoon Q500+, the camera delivers high-quality images with the ability to even capture slow motion 1080p/120fps and 12 megapixel photos.

Professional Camera Interface

Real-time telemetry data displayed on the screen during flight includes flight mode, altitude, ground speed, distance from home, camera status, GPS positioning coordinates and the drones battery status.
Controls expected by professionals videographers/photographers include adjustable video resolution and white balance, while light exposure can be controlled automatically or manually, including ISO and Shutter Speed.
The camera also allows users to take pictures while recording video, and the still images are available in RAW (DNG) and JPEG format.

Distortion-free Lens

The CGO3 camera features a 115-degree wide-angle distortion-free lens that allows you capture your subject without the need for distortion correction.

The Yuneec Typhoon Q500 4K comes with a 5400mAh 3S 11.1V LiPo battery enabling a superior flight time of up to 25 minutes. The sleek pop-open compartment ensures you can quickly and exchange batteries for even more flight time.

Legal Flying Height

The No Fly Zone feature also prevents flight above 400 feet from the ground.

Smart Circle

The built-in GPS establishes a 26-foot (8-meter) diameter Safe Smart Circle around the pilot, and also creates a geo-fence that keeps the aircraft from traveling farther than 300 feet (91 meters) from the pilot’s position.
